Introduction
Students often have difficulty balancing their studies and daily lives. This can lead to anxiety, academic underachievement and stress. Good time management can improve learning, allow students to complete course assignments on time, and ultimately lead to higher academic performance. Students who manage their time effectively tend to perform better than their peers with poor time management skills. We are not, however, born with time management skills. These skills need to be practised from early on in our academic career. This course discusses why time management matters and offers strategies you can use to help structure your schedule.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- describe at least three benefits of time management
- distinguish between three time management strategies and four types of reviews
- identify at least two strategies that can help students achieve work-life balance
