Introduction
The NHS reports that one in ten men have some form of sexual dysfunction, but sexual health needs are often neglected by medical professionals. Often the first and only treatment option offered to these patients by the healthcare community is medication. However, men’s health physiotherapy offers cost-effective, noninvasive, modifiable treatment interventions for a wide range of men’s sexual health conditions. Effective men’s health physiotherapy is holistic and attempts to address the patient’s needs physically, emotionally, and socially. This course, the fourth in an eight-part series, will introduce the basics of male sexual dysfunction, discuss the use of the biopsychosocial model for effective care management, and provide an overview of physiotherapy assessment and treatment strategies.
Aims
This course aims to introduce key concepts of men’s sexual dyfunction, discuss efficient care delivery using the biopsychosocial model, and introduce the reader to male pelvic floor physiotherapy assessment and treatment interventions.

Target audience
This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
