Introduction
The body’s ability to regulate temperature is influenced by exercise in hot or cold environments. The thermoregulation abilities of the body function well in normal conditions, but extreme heat and cold affect our ability to respond adequately. Athletes can adapt to different thermal conditions with continued exposure over time. This course explores some of these responses, focusing specifically on the effects of exercise in hot and cold environments.

This course aims to expand your knowledge of thermoregulation and the effects of exercising in extreme heat or cold.

This course is aimed at Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy clinicians, students and assistants. Other interested professionals such as athletic trainers, occupational therapists, nurses or medical doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
