Introduction
Sport can transcend linguistic, cultural and social barriers, and it is an inspiring platform for inclusion and adaptation. People with disabilities are confronted with barriers to participation in sports, but the benefits far outweigh these barriers. It allows athletes with disabilities to empower themselves, make social connections and improve their fitness, functionality and confidence. In this course, you will be introduced to sports for people with disabilities and learn more about the types of sports, classification, and doping and cheating in sports.
