Introduction
Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. It affects more than 500 million people worldwide and is a leading cause of physical disability. Osteoarthritis of the knee can cause stiffness, pain, swelling, difficulties with functional mobility and gait, and increase a person's fall risk. Integrative Lifestyle Medicine offers alternative approaches to management strategies to offer hope to those patients affected by the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis.
