Introduction
Complex injuries and conditions refer to situations where patients have multiple, often interrelated, health issues that need a comprehensive and coordinated approach to rehabilitation. It is essential that rehabilitation professionals understand and address the impact of these injuries through targeted interventions and support systems. This approach improves patient outcomes and reduces the overall burden of these conditions on individuals, families and communities. This course discusses key principles of care that enable rehabilitation professionals to provide person-centred care and help improve their patient's quality of life.
Aims
This course aims to explain the nature and impact of complex injuries and the principles of care necessary to effectively manage patients with these injuries and conditions.

Target audience
This course is aimed at rehabilitation professionals, students and assistants including but not limited to Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Doctors, Rehabilitation Nurses, Prosthetists, Orthotists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietetics, Social Workers. Community Health Workers, Nurses or Medical Doctors interested in this subject are also invited to participate.
