Introduction
Sideline coverage or pitch-side management at a sports event is a unique and exciting experience. It allows sports clinicians to build a relationship of trust with their team and provides insight into mechanisms of injury. While most injuries on the field may be of low severity, there can be on-field emergencies that require rapid response and care. Clinicians covering sports events should be familiar with the type of on-field emergencies they may encounter and have a thorough knowledge of each facility's emergency action plan. This course introduces risk management and emergency response and planning in the context of sports medicine.

At the end of this course you will be able to:
- explain key definitions, processes and models of risk management in relation to sports medicine
