Physiopedia Plus celebrates a remarkable 2025, with a record number of online course completions, AI integration and expansion across five languages all reinforcing our commitment to making evidence-based rehabilitation education accessible to healthcare professionals worldwide.
Physiopedia Plus (Plus) is the very popular online learning and clinical service delivery platform powered by Physiopedia, and for Plus members and our team, this has been quite a year! As we near the end of 2025 we’ve been amazed as we look back at some of the milestones achieved. Our Plus members have completed 92,256 courses across our expanding library of over 800 online courses, whilst the publication of 92 new courses this year and groundbreaking AI integration have transformed how healthcare professionals engage with continuing education through Plus.

Our most popular courses of 2025 captured the essential skills clinicians need daily, with our top ten covering a variety of topics:
- Overview of Cervical Spine Assessment
- Exploring Foot Anatomy
- Overview of Shoulder Assessment
- Assessing Range of Motion
- Overview of Lumbar Spine Assessment
- Therapeutic Exercise Prescription Guidelines
- Motor Development Principles
- Gluteal Considerations in the Management of Patellofemoral Pain
- Gross Motor Milestones in Infants 0-14 Months
- Introduction and Overview of the Nervous System
The numbers tell a story of growth and engagement during 2025. In addition to the new courses published, we’ve also created ten programmes this year. Plus programmes are collections of related courses that provide a comprehensive masterclass in various topic areas. This year saw 3,193 programme completions from our members, demonstrating the commitment healthcare professionals have made to intentional, structured learning – perhaps an antidote to the barrage of short form content we are all exposed to every day. Our most popular programmes of 2025 reflect the breadth of clinical interests across our community:
- Neurology Assessment for Rehabilitation Professionals Programme
- Mental Health Programme
- Physical Activity Programme
- Introduction to Sports Medicine Programme
- Communication and the Medical Interview Programme
- Exploring Anatomy Programme
- Understanding the Foot Programme
- Understanding Basic Rehabilitation Techniques Programme
- Professional Communication Programme
- Cerebral Palsy Programme
As well as new online course development, our Plus team has been busy behind the scenes reviewing and updating courses to ensure Plus content remains current and evidence-based. The team has also updated the Plus course design and worked with our Instructors to optimise video quality and include more practical content as we continue to look for ways to improve the learning experience for our Plus learners.
The integration of the Physiopedia AI Assistant, you’ll hear us call it PAI (pronounced pie) for short, marked a significant moment in online healthcare education. Plus became the first professional development platform to add AI-driven activities to enhance learning. Every single course now includes intelligent knowledge checks powered by PAI, offering dynamic, interactive assessments that go far beyond traditional multiple-choice questions. These four-question sessions challenge thinking and broaden knowledge application, with PAI providing detailed feedback and highlighting strengths whilst identifying areas for further review. All new courses now also contain PAI Activities specifically designed to personalise the learning experience. These custom-designed PAI activities last 10–15 minutes, employing various educational methodologies including Socratic dialogue for critical thinking development, clinical simulations for decision-making practice and scenario-based learning for complex professional situations. Activities range from ethical case scenario analysis and effective communication simulations to red flag recognition training, differential diagnosis practice and clinical decision-making challenges. Plus learners are responding very enthusiastically so far, with one physiotherapist from Poland noting that “the knowledge check activity was a great addition to the fall prevention course,” whilst another from Pakistan praised the PAI activity on lumbar spine assessment for “developing clinical reasoning in a supportive environment.”
If you’re keen to know what other learners think of Plus courses before you take part then you can check out the course testimonials on the site , which don’t just provide real-life feedback for you but also help us to guide future development. An overarching theme this year was an appreciation of the practical relevance of Plus courses, the expertise of instructors and the immediate applicability of skills learned. Your feedback reminds us why this work matters and inspires us to continue raising the bar for online healthcare education.
In terms of course accreditation, 2025 saw Plus courses accredited across multiple jurisdictions. In the United States, Plus continues to be accredited for CEUs for physical therapists in most states, including the crucial additions of New York and California, whilst also approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and Board of Athletic Trainers. Internationally Plus courses are formally approved in Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Ukraine whilst also recognised in most other countries where formal approval or accreditation is not required, such as Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, New Zealand and many others. In Europe Plus gained european academic alignment through European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), ensuring credits earned through Plus are recognised across educational institutions throughout Europe.
Last but not least our multilingual reach extended across five languages, with numerous new courses and resources added in French, German, Italian, Ukrainian and Spanish. There are now a whopping 259 courses and 8,124 resources available in languages beyond English; and Plus users have evaluated these translated resources with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5, reflecting the quality maintained across translations thanks to our rigorous human-lead translation process.
Looking ahead, 2026 promises even more exciting developments with upcoming courses on ethics, concussion, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), shoulder conditions, stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI), wheelchair skills, pain education, managing uncertainty, clinical reasoning, interprofessional education, scoliosis and hip disarticulation prosthetics. Each addition responds to gaps identified by practitioners and represents our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the global rehabilitation community.
