Learning is best done together. The Plus platform provides an online space to communicate, engage and network with colleagues from all over the world, including our team of internationally renowned topic specialists.
In your Plus account, you can access the Forum by clicking on resources and selecting Forum. Alternatively, you can access the Forum from within a course. At the end of the course, you can click on the link labeled Share your reflection in the discussion forum, and this will take you directly to the forum discussion related to that specific course.
Let’s enter the Forum from the Resources tab. On entering the Forum, you’ll have access to your profile, be able to view topics of discussion, see your own posts and responses to your posts. You’ll also have access to different categories of discussions, as well as messaging and chat functions.
Let’s take a look around. By clicking on the icon, at the top right hand corner, you can view notifications, activity related to your notifications, likes, messages, bookmarked items and chats. You can choose to pause notifications by clicking on this icon.
If you would like to explore the categories for discussion, click on the Categories tab on the left-hand side of the page, select your category of choice. To participate in the discussion, click on the Reply button.
You can type your post here. You have the option to edit text, add a link, upload an image, add bullet points, add emojis, search the calendar to insert a date and time and further options under the cog wheel icon. You can also @ mention someone here. To post what you have written, click on Reply.
To like a comment, click on the heart icon. To create a bookmark, click on the bookmark tab. If you would like to go back to your bookmarks, click on your profile icon at the top right hand corner and select the bookmark icon.
To view all available categories on the forum, click on All categories. To add to your personal categories list, click on the pencil icon next to the categories and select the category that you want to add. These categories will be displayed here.
To send a message, click on the + icon next to messages, search for the person to whom you want to send the message and send. Click on Message to send.
To customize the view of your Forum page, click on the three lines in the top left hand corner of the page.
