How do I translate page content?

Most browsers offer official help guides that explain their translation tools in detail. These tools can be used to translate all Plus content — including course overviews, Physiopedia pages, video transcripts, quizzes, and more. Here are some resources you may find helpful for learning how to use different browser translation tools:

For example, translating Plus using Google Chrome:

  • Open the page you want to translate in Google Chrome.
  • Chrome may automatically offer to translate the page. If not:
    • Right-click anywhere on the page. Select “Translate to [Your Language]”.

Some pages may include images that contain text, such as diagrams, screenshots, or labelled anatomical figures. This text is not automatically translated by browser tools, but you can translate it using Google Lens.

  • Right-click on the image
  • Select “Search image with Google Lens”
  • The detected text will appear in a side panel
  • Use the “Translate” option, or copy the text into a translation tool

How do I translate Plus videos?

Plus videos are slightly different from other content on the platform, and it’s important to understand how each type of video works, to translate them effectively. The different types of videos you’ll encounter are:

  • Plus course videos – These are embedded directly within Plus courses and appear as you progress through the lessons.
  • Plus resource videos – These include technique and anatomy videos, which can be found under the Resources section of Plus.
  • Third-party YouTube videos – These are external videos, often embedded within Physiopedia pages, and hosted on YouTube.

Each type requires a different translation approach depending on how the video is embedded.

All Plus videos (course and resource videos) include a transcript displayed below the video. You can use the above-mentioned methods to translate their transcripts.

  • Click the CC button in the video player tool bar. When the CC button is underlined, Subtitles/CC will be displayed.
  • To translate these closed captions, click the gear cog icon and select “Subtitles/CC”.
  • Click the “Auto-translate” option.
  • Choose your preferred language from the list.
